We are honoured to have the former Honourable Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Haji Ahmad Bin Haji Maslan to officiate the launch of our Bi-Axially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) plant on 29.9.2016.
The BOPP plant is a fully automated world class facility built using the high end Japanese technology and under stringent Japanese standards. The BOPP plant is capable of producing various grades of BOPP film catering to various industry for both local and international markets. This historical milestone marked the culmination of Scientex’s strategic alliance with Futamura Chemical Co., Ltd of Japan with a vision to expand and penetrate markets for its diverse range of BOPP film products.
Upon full commissioning of the BOPP plant, Scientex will be well positioned to produce food grade quality consumer based flexible plastic packaging to global markets with primary focus on the burgeoning Southeast Asian markets in the immediate future.
